Throat Surgery procedures in India!

India’s ENT specialists perform various throat surgeries to treat airway and voice-related problems. Each procedure serves a specific purpose and helps improve breathing, swallowing, or speech.

1. Tonsillectomy
Doctors remove the tonsils — two small glands at the back of the throat — to stop frequent throat infections or sleep apnea.

2. Adenoidectomy
Surgeons remove the adenoids, located behind the nose, to help patients breathe better and prevent repeated infections.

3. Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP)
In this surgery, doctors trim excess tissue from the uvula and soft palate. It opens the airway and reduces snoring or sleep apnea.

4. Laryngeal Surgery
Surgeons remove tumors or abnormal tissue from the larynx (voice box) to restore clear speech and normal breathing.

5. Tracheostomy
A surgeon makes a small opening in the neck and places a tube into the trachea (windpipe). The tube allows easy breathing when the airway gets blocked or during long-term ventilation.

6. Thyroidectomy
Doctors remove all or part of the thyroid gland to treat thyroid cancer, nodules, or overactive thyroid conditions.

7. Pharyngeal Pouch Surgery
This surgery removes a pouch that forms in the pharynx — the passage connecting the mouth and esophagus — to prevent swallowing issues.

8. Laryngoscopy
Doctors insert a small camera through the nose or mouth to view the larynx. They use it to diagnose voice problems or remove stuck objects.
